After having accomplished her studies at the Conservatory of Luxembourg with a “Diplôme Supérieur”, the violist Sophie Urhausen moved to Vienna, where she graduated with a Master of Arts in 2019. At the same time, she completed a Master of Viola Pedagogy at the Bern Academy of the Arts. She gained her orchestra experience as a substitute musician in the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and as an intern of the Bern Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg. Currently, she is a member of the Kammerata Luxembourg and the Solistes Européens Luxembourg. With her “Trio Favola” she gave concerts in Japan, Italy and Austria. Since September 2019, Sophie Urhausen is teaching the viola at the Conservatory of Luxembourg.
