CINE-MOMENT 4 - Documentary film with music by Nigji Sanges (2024)

The CINE MOMENTS series highlights the guest composers of Helen Buchholtz's Salon and their works from a different perspective.

This original documentary presents four remarkable 18th-century women who broke free from the yoke of Western patriarchal and colonial powers to live adventurous lives. Driven by the ideal of a more egalitarian society, they took to the seas and commanded crews, readily disguising themselves in disguise and taking up arms. They even became the first abolitionists in history, helping slaves regain their freedom by integrating them into their ranks.

The original music composed by Nigji Sanges, guest composer of Helen Buchholtz's Salon, will give you an insight into her creative work in the field of film music.

The first part of the film will be presented during the CINE MOMENT on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

This CINE MOMENT will be followed by the If Music Be the Food of Love Concert.
