Nachtmusik

This serenade, performed at the Salzburg Festival in 2023 and now featured in Helen Buchholtz's Salon, perfectly embodies the union of music and literature within the salon atmosphere. Georg Nigl, the accomplished baritone, joins forces with the young harpsichordist Alexander Gergelyfi for an exceptional evening, accompanied by the German actor Ulrich Noethen.

In the intimate setting of the Bridderhaus chapel, the clavichord, with its muted tones, finds the perfect space and invites the public to meticulous listening.

Georg Nigl, a passionate explorer of Baroque repertoires, unveils 17th-century arias by Henry Purcell, Giulio Caccini and Claudio Monteverdi, accompanied by the subtle nuances of the clavichord played by Alexander Gergelyfi.

During the evening, spoken and sung words follow one another. Ulrich Noethen brings to life the texts of the Iranian poet Forough Farrokhzad, creating a subtle dialogue between poetry and music.
