Christian Aschman lives and works in Luxembourg. A graduate of the Ecole de Recherche Graphique – ERG in Brussels in 1992, he has been a freelance photographer since 1993. He has produced several monographic and artistic books related in particular to cultural commissions. In 2014 he did an artist residency at Youkobo Art Space in Tokyo and released a publication on urban space "The space in between", published by Théophile's Papers. In 2019, the book “Hors-Champs” is published, a photographic commission from the CNA (National Audiovisual Center) on the “Agrocenter” agri-food complex in Mersch.

In 2021 Christian Aschman is the curator of the exhibition "Des gens et des rues, 100 ans Pol Aschman" and author of the book "Pol Aschman, un regard sur son œuvre photographique ", published by the City of Luxembourg.
