Danielle Roster studied musicology and art history at the University of Salzburg. Music and gender is her main line of research and the subject of her publications. In 1998, she discovered the legacy of composer Helen Buchholtz (1877-1953), thought to be lost, and founded the Helen Buchholtz Archive at Cid ǀ Fraen an Gender, which she later expanded to the Archives of Women Composers in Luxemburg. At Cid ǀ Fraen an Gender, she is responsible for musical editions (books, CDs, teaching materials, scores) and the MuGiLux project (https://history.uni.lu/mugilux/ ). She is a member of the Institut grand-ducal – Section des arts et des lettres.
