Yanis Grisó, born in 2003, began studying the violin at the age of four. Until 2018, he studied with Sandrine Cantoreggi at the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg, where he finalized his violin studies with the “prix supérieur” with the most highly distinction. Since 2018, Yanis studies with Boris Belkin at the Conservatorium Maastricht in the Netherlands. Yanis is a laureate of different national and international competitions. He received awards from the “Luxembourgish Competition for Young Soloists”, the “European Competition for Young Soloists, Luxembourg”, the “X Balys Dvarionas Competition for Young Violinists” in Vilnius/ Lithuania, the “International Grumiaux Competition for Young Violinists” in Brussels/Belgium (3rd prize) and the “Concours Triomphe de l’art” in Brussels/Belgium (2nd prize). As a soloist, Yanis performed with the “Orchestra Luxembourg Philharmonia”, with the OPL “Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg” and with the “Estro Armonico Orchestra, Luxembourg”. Yanis took part at several master classes in Luxembourg, Germany and Italy, where he received precious musical advices from Tatiana Liberova, Alessandro Moccia, Irina Pak, Larissa Kolos, Vadim Gluzman and Boris Belkin. Yanis currently performs on a violin on generous loan by the foundation „Musique et vin Clos Vougeot“.
